Methanol steam reforming catalyst SCST-401is mainly used in the reforming and cracking reaction between Methanol and steam to convert into H2, CO2 and some CO and CH4, from which we can get needed product—H2.It is used in lots of hydrogen plants in different industries, such as refinery, pharmaceutical and metallurgy.

The main reactions are as following:

CH3OH+H2Og→CO2+3H2-49.5 KJ/mol

CH3OH→CO+2H2-90.7 KJ/mol

                                                                                    CO+H2Og→CO2+H2+41.19 KJ/mol

Industrial Applications

  • The catalyst is suitable for the hydrogen production by the reaction between Methanol and steam;
  • The catalyst is suitable for the methanol fuel cell for vehicles.

Product Advantages

  • High single-pass conversion rate: the initial methanol in washing tower is 0 and at end is less than 5%;
  • Lower reaction temperature and saving the quantity of oil and extending the oil life;
  • Less side-reaction, not easy to produce wax, lower of methane, methyl ether and carbon monoxide in the out gas;
  • High strength, good water resistance, uneasy to powder and low running resistance.
